Shallow Grouting for Foundation Repair after Sinkhole Damage

Grout is pumped at low pressure in low volumes at 6-8 feet below a structure. This compacts the loose soil, stabilizing the structure.

Installation of Grout Casing C & N Foundation Technologies is a leader in the Hammer Advanced method. Each injection point begins by utilizing a ¾” OD section of casing. As the casing begins to travel downward, another section of casing is connected in five-foot intervals via milled inside and outside threading.

The Hammer Advanced grout casing reaches the standard depth of ten to fifteen feet. With the casing installed to required depths, the Hammer System is disconnected and the process begins again at the next injection point.

Grouting Procedure
C & N Foundation Technologies receives bagged Portland cement from local suppliers. Our crew arrives with all necessary equipment to pump the grout into the casing. Once the casing is installed around the perimeter of the structure, the pumping begins. C & N Foundation monitors the inline pressure gauge and visually inspects the structure and neighboring structures for movement. The casing is extracted while pumping to allow the grout to spread, compacting the soil.
